We are pleased to offer these extended opportunities for our students to develop skills of positive socialization and interaction. It is also an added benefit for working parents.

Before and After School Program

Flexibility allows families to drop off and pick up their student at any time between the hours of 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM prior to instruction beginning and in the afternoon between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM with no additional tuition costs.

In the morning, students are eagerly welcomed by staff and encouraged to engage with other students with an organized indoor free play until student numbers dictate outside general play. Breakfast and morning foods must be eaten before arrival.

After School

Study Hall

Study Hall is a program that has been designed for students at The Palm Desert Learning Tree Center in the after school hours, 3:15 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and is included in the tuition. Students are encouraged to eat their snack provided from home or a snack that can be purchased at the front desk.

* Snack time is immediately after school prior to study hall.

Your child may need additional help with their homework that your work or home schedule does not allow you to provide. Study Hall has been designed to help children achieve more success with their schoolwork. Staff has been assigned to help children improve in their studies and complete difficult or lengthy homework assignments.

As the school year progresses, many parents find it challenging and more time consuming to assist their children with studies and choose to enroll them in our after school study hall program. Parents still need to check their child's work and further assist at home to ensure a well-balanced week. Parents can truly benefit from sending their children to Study Hall. Study Hall provides a great head start to homework.

After school programs include a variety of opportunities for our students. They may engage after eating a snack in general playground activities such as using the various climbing apparatus, swings, tree houses, slides, and trolley. They may play several ball games such as basketball, handball, tetherball, foursquare, and hopscotch. Students may participate in leader directed fundamental-seasonal sports development such as soccer, basketball, flag football, track and field, baseball, and kickball. This program requires no additional cost, yet requires a commitment of attendance to the limited sessions. In addition, standalone programs that require a small fee are also provided such as Karate, Dance, Drill Team, Gymnastics, Craft Classes, Technology instruction, and others.

We are pleased to offer these extended opportunities for our students to develop skills of positive socialization and interaction. It is also an added benefit for working parents.
